November 12, 2007 -- In early November, Duanesburg students brought their version of L. Frank Baum's heartwarming tale, "The Wizard of Oz," with all of its memorable characters and beautiful set design to life for an audience full of their peers, parents, community and staff members.

The Duanesburg Players transformed into the Scarecrow, Tin Man, Cowardly Lion, and of course, Dorothy—as she began her wondrous journey to the Land of Oz. Good Witch Glinda and the Munchkins pointed Dorothy toward the Yellow Brick Road, a magical path to the Emerald City -- off to see the Wonderful Wizard of Oz!

The high school auditorium's stage was recreated into the Land of Oz by high school juniors in the 3-Dimensional Studio Art course. Students in this advanced level art course spent nearly 10 weeks working on the set design. Congratulations to everyone involved in making this hit performance!
