April 8, 2008 - The state Senate passed an amendment to the state budget that reverses former Governor Eliot Spitzer's proposal to re-deploy School Resource Officers like Trooper Chip Johnstone to higher-crime areas. The budget is expected to become law this week. Read the article in the Daily Gazette about Trooper Johnstone and the amendment.
