Oct. 5, 2009—Open house is a great opportunity for parents to start building relationships with teachers and administrators.

In late September, parents of sixth- through twelfth-graders attended the two-hour middle/high school open house where they became acquainted with their child’s teachers, learned about ways they can support their child’s learning at home and the expectations for students in general.

Duanesburg middle/high school teachers and administrators were available to greet parents, answer questions and share information about the curriculum.

If you were unable to attend, download the 14-minute open house video featuring the district’s administrative team:

  • Superintendent Christine Crowley—providing an update on H1N1, technology and curriculum.

  • High School Principal Beth DeLuke—recognizing new staff and support groups, reminder about school policies.

  • Middle School Principal and Director of Physical Education Peter Reyes— housekeeping items, changes to athletic sign-up process.

  • Director of Counseling Alicia Kirkpatrick—upcoming tests and parent’s role in their child’s education.
