Oct. 19, 2009—While any season is perfect for reading, there's nothing quite like spending a cool, fall evening snuggled up with a warm blanket and a good book.

To help build your child's library collection, a large selection of books will be available for purchase during Duanesburg Elementary School's Scholastic Book Fair during the week of Nov. 2-6. Mark your calendar for a special family night set for Thursday, Nov. 5, from 5 to 8 p.m. Watch the Scholastic Book Fair video promo (33 seconds long).

Schedule of events:

• Monday, Nov. 2—Student preview, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

• Tuesday, Nov. 3—Student preview, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

• Wednesday, Nov. 4—Student purchase, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

• Thursday, Nov. 5—Student purchase, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.; family night, 5 - 8 p.m.

• Friday, Nov. 6—Make-up day, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Visit the Scholastic Web page to browse the featured books, chapter samples and downloadable forms. Students can even create a wish list online, which they can print and bring with them to the fair. Families may also contribute to their classroom libraries through a special program.
