National School Bus Safety Week Poster

Oct. 20, 2009—The Duanesburg Central School District would like to remind students, parents and drivers about the importance of school bus safety both on and off the school bus in recognition of National School Bus Safety Week, Oct. 19-23.

The theme for the week, "Avoid Harm, Obey the Stop Arm," emphasizes the importance for drivers to follow the rules of the road and stop when the red lights flash and children are getting on and off the bus.

This week also recognizes the hard work and dedication of school professionals, especially the school bus drivers who ensure a safe journey for our children each and every day.

Many thanks go to Duanesburg school bus drivers for their time, dedication and care.

Learn more about your school bus drivers and the enormous requirements needed to become one.
