May
13, 2008 - Duanesburg High School students enrolled in the
media production class taught by Jeffrey Rivenburg recently
submitted a video to participate in Time Warner Cable’s “How
Cool is Your School?” video production contest.
The competition encourages and challenges local students to
use their creativity to promote their school’s unique spirit
while also developing their video production skills. Each
video entry will be judged on its relevance, effectiveness,
production technique, creativity and marketing. Judging will
take place in May by a panel of judges and also through a
Web-based voting system.
Community members can watch the video on Capital News 9 On
Demand, digital cable channel 1009, and then visit
coolschool.twalbany.com from May 8-21 to cast their
votes on the best video.
The winning students will be featured in a Capital News 9
story and will receive a $1,000 gift card to use to purchase
new video/editing equipment for their school. The winning
team will also receive a tour of CNN’s New York City studio.
