DCS junior selected
for Empire State Youth Orchestra's Melodies of Christmas
December 6, 2006 - After participating in a
competitive audition with more than 200 students vying for 70
positions, Duanesburg High School junior John David Ganther was
selected to participate in the Empire Student Youth Orchestra's
Melodies of Christmas benefit concert.
Ganther will perform in front
of more than 10,000 people at Proctor's Theatre in Schenectady
on December 14, 15 and 16, starting at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Dec.
16 at 3 p.m.
The performances are taped by WRGB Channel 6 and
will air on Christmas Eve and Christmas day. Proceeds benefit the Child
Cancer Program at Albany Medical Center.
