New DCS teacher get ready for upcoming school year

August 29, 2006 - Several of Duanesburg Central School District's new teachers attended the Schoharie Education Council's new teacher orientation at the Best Western in Cobleskill today, August 29.

The full-day orientation provides new teachers with an opportunity to meet other new teachers and teaching assistants in their district and across the Schoharie Region including Maplewood, Green Island, Menands, Schoharie, Berne-Knox Westerlo and Cobleskill-Richmondville. Today's program highlighted classroom management and instructional strategies new teachers can prepare to use this upcoming school year.

DCS teachers in attendance include PMI special education teacher Laura Feinberg and special education teacher Julie McLean at the elementary school. At the secondary level new teachers in attendance include Sondra Carson who will be a new physical education teacher and Jeff Rivenburg who will teach technology.
