District mourns the
loss of Technology Teacher Logan Cresap
August 22, 2006 - The district sadly
reports the loss of Mr. Logan Cresap, a technology teacher at
Duanesburg High School since 1998. Cresap died on Sunday, August
20 after battling an illness. He was on medical leave since this
past spring.
"Mr. Cresap was an innovator who sometimes chose unorthodox
methods in the classroom. He is best known for the snowboard
production class he established," said Superintendent Dr. Mark Villanti.
District staff members were notified of Cresap's death on Monday
by phone, and a letter from the superintendent was mailed home to
parents of middle school/high school students on Tuesday.
This fall the middle school/high school will plan an appropriate
remembrance with his family. Students and parents who wish to send
cards can forward them to the district office and they will be
presented to his family.
"I considered Logan not only a teaching colleague, but also a
friend," Villanti said. "We will greatly miss him as a teacher,
but truly miss a good friend."

Villanti's letter here.
