Nominating petitions available for two open Board of Education seats

March 20, 2007 - Two open Duanesburg Board of Education seats are up for election on May 15. 

The terms for seats currently held by David Remling and Carlos Moreno will expire on June 30, 2007. Each term of office is three years, beginning July 1, 2007.

Community members interested in running for the board can obtain nominating petitions from the school district clerk's office at 133 School Drive, Delanson, New York, 12053 or by calling the district clerk at 518-895-2279.

Each nominating petition must contain a minimum of 25 valid signatures and must be filed with the district clerk by 5 p.m., Monday, April 16, 2007, which is 30 days prior to the school district's Annual Meeting (Budget Vote) on May 15, 2007.

The Board of Education elections occur at the same time as the School District Budget Vote on May 15, 2007.
