from 9 a.m. to noon at SUNY Cobleskill.
The event, sponsored by the Schoharie County School Boards
Association, is open to all high school students in Berne-Knox-Westerlo,
Cobleskill-Richmondville, Duanesburg, Middleburgh, Schoharie and
Sharon Springs, as well as home-schooled students of high school
age. Learn more...
“As students reach the middle and high schools years there are a
number of competing interests that deplete the ranks of science
fair entries and the number of entrants becomes too small to
hold a fair,” said SCORE committee member Dave Remling. “The
idea behind the SCORE fair is to combine the number of entrants
from several schools to provide a quality event.”
All entries are to be age-appropriate experiments,
demonstrations or research projects on any of the following
categories: earth/space science, biology, chemistry, physics,
mathematics/computers, behavioral science, electronics,
engineering and environment.
Interested individuals should contact the High School directly
for a packet detailing entry specifics and an entry form. Entry
forms should be completed and returned to the school by February
1, along with a $5 entry fee.
Prizes will be awarded to winners and all entrants will receive
a t-shirt commemorating the fair.
