Why doesn't the middle/high school have a student phone book?

Response heading

The PTSO produces the elementary school phone book in an effort to help parents organize play dates, birthday parties etc. for their young children. They were unaware of interest in such a book for the upper grade levels. However, they would be willing to help produce one if there was enough interest. Please contact the PTSO to discuss further at ptso@duanesburg.org.

Is there a supply list for 9th grade students, and if so what is it?

Response heading

There is not a formal supply list. However, students will need spiral bound notebooks or a 3-ring binder (depending on the student's preference) for each subject. English classes usually require a separate bound journal. As the school year progresses, index cards will also be needed.

Is there anyway to get a copy of the elementary school phone book?

Response heading

Extra copies of the PTSO sponsored phone book may be available by contacting the elementary school main office at 895-8310.

Are there any plans to start a recycle center at the schools? A lot of paper is shredded, but then just thrown away. Is there any way to do this?

Response heading

Both the elementary school and middle/high school's already recycle paper through a community recycling program, called Green Fiber. There is also a recycling company that takes cans, plastic and glass.

Is there a reason why there's only one visitor parking spot at the ES?

Response heading

There are plans to add more visitor parking spots. One is expected to be added this week and another one at a later date.

Do you know the origin of this "haunted story":http://theshadowlands.net/places/newyork.htm
Duanesburg Central School - There have been two deaths at the High school. Since then there have been doors that slam by themselves, odd noises, and many orbs have been
caught on camera, especially in the gymnasium. Also at weekend sports practices, students have claimed to see a figure run by the windows in the hallways.

Response heading

In the 1970s, a high school teacher died of natural causes in the gymnasium. We do not have a record of a second death in our schools. However, none of our school buildings, to the best of our knowledge, are haunted.
