Parents of Students with Special Needs
Support Group

A new support group was launched in Jan. 2008 to assist parents of children with special needs in the Duanesburg Central School District.

The Parents of Students with Special Needs Support Group will provide information, advocacy, recreational opportunities and community resources to interested parents and their children.

Members of the community are invited to attend  any of our upcoming meetings to learn more and to get involved.

Next Meeting
Thursday, April 24, at 7 p.m.
Duanesburg High School Library
Topic: Movie Night

This month's meeting will feature the film, Today's Man. The documentary is by Lizzie Gottlieb about her brother, Nicky, who was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome at the age of 21. The film follows Nicky as he struggles to leave the safety of his family's home and find a job to support himself. The movie is 55 minutes. Popcorn and drinks will be available and time will be left to discuss the movie.
