Duanesburg Day 2008
Fundraisers to benefit Lees family, Leo Club
The PTSO is sponsoring a mystery raffle, silent auction and gently-used prom, semi-formal and concert dress/accessories sale to benefit their Community Assistance Fund, which supports local families in crisis. All proceeds will benefit the Lees family to help them during this difficult time.

Members of the community who are willing to make a donation or volunteer are encouraged to contact Hank Dunn at 895-2742. Current donations include gift certificates from local businesses, gift baskets, antiques and collectibles.

The middle/high school's 30-member Leo Club, will hold a cotton candy fundraiser to support their charitable activities next year (e.g., Adopt-A-Family, Toys for Tots).

Whether it's dancing to music, learning about local history or enjoying a variety of student projects, there will be something of interest for everyone at the fifth annual Duanesburg Day.

The festivities will begin on Saturday, March 29 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Duanesburg Middle/High School on Route 395 in Delanson. View the tentative schedule of events, below.

Vendors: Please return your registration form as soon as possible and no later than March 21. Space is limited.

Duanesburg Day is a community-wide celebration sponsored by the Duanesburg Historical Society, the New York Folklore Society, the Duanesburg Area Community Center and the Duanesburg Central School District to help develop a sense of awareness and pride in Duanesburg's local heritage and culture.

In the event of inclement weather, Duanesburg Day will be rescheduled to Sunday, March 30, from 12 to 5 p.m.
