REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF EDUCATION
February 6, 2007

Vision - Duanesburg Central
School District will become a model for smaller school districts
in New York State. Instructional excellence will be the bedrock
of the district characterized by a strong academic core,
technology integration and a challenging and stimulating
curriculum. Our educational program will include enrichment,
interdisciplinary teaching and active roles for students. All
students will be challenged and supported to achieve their
highest abilities. The district will value its students and
staff.
The community will value and participate in our mission. Our
facilities will promote our mission.
Goals - The goals of the Board of Education include:
long range instructional, facilities, staff and financial
planning; continue to provide a positive, safe and healthy
school and community environment; review and approve Board
policies that comply with
SED requirements; recognize the work of outstanding students,
faculty, staff, administrators and district volunteers;
continued monitoring of the Board of Education’s internal and
external communications; encouragement of community and parental
involvement to
foster a spirit of openness and togetherness and completion of
committee goals.

the minutes of the regular meeting of 1/16/07 as submitted.

1. Budget Discussion/Report – Brenda Kane
2. Approve Bond Resolution.
Recommendation that the Duanesburg Board of Education approve
the Bond Resolution in the amount of $1,398,000 for the capital
project as recommended by the business administrator.
Motion by Trustee Moreno, seconded by Trustee Remling.
Yes: Hawes, Holmes, Iseman, Remling, Moreno, Munson. Absent:
Breitenstein. Motion Carried.
3. Claims Auditor’s Comments on January 17, 2007 Warrant
(General
Fund W#17) & February 7, 2007 Warrant.
4. Approve Warrants.
Recommendation that the Duanesburg Board of Education approve
the following warrants:
General Fund W#18 $215,799.90
Capital Fund W#11 $67,157.99
Motion by Trustee Munson, seconded by Trustee Moreno.

5. Approve Financial Reports.
Recommendation that the Duanesburg Board of Education approve
the Appropriation Status Report and Revenue Budget Status Report
as submitted.

6. Approve Budget Transfers.
Recommendation that the Duanesburg Board of Education approve
the Budget Transfers dated 1/31/07 as recommended by the
business administrator.

Model Notification of Rights Under the Protection of Pupil
Rights Amendment (PPRA) and Model Notice For Directory
Information (FERPA) as recommended by the superintendent.
Motion by Trustee Holmes, seconded by Trustee Munson.
2. Approve Field Trip.
Recommendation that the Duanesburg Board of Education approve
the April 26, 2007 Field Trip to Medieval Times as requested by
Brian McGarry, Maria Molyneaux and Deb Tarmey.
Motion by Trustee Munson, seconded by Trustee Moreno.
